Masking Tape Shoes

Assignment:

Using only masking tape, create an exact replica of a shoe. Create as many details and textures as possible! This includes texture at the bottom of the shoe.

Objectives:

-Practice the use of sight and touch to observe from life.

-Observations provide opportunity to understand and practice elements and principles of art and design.

-Employ methods of deconstruction and construction.

Materials:

• A shoe from your art kit (you can cut this up and destroy it if you need to)

• X-acto Knife

• Scissors

• Cutting mat

• Large roll of masking tape

• Small roll of masking tape

• Drawing utensil like a pencil or sharpie

• Ruler

Step 1: Find and Analyze old shoe, deconstruct if it is something you don't care about

Step 2: Start with the shoe base and work up from there
