1. Find at least one or more solid color reference photo(s)
2. Create a full page sketch in color of your design
Requirements:
Your composition needs to be based on the theme "Spring Has Sprung" - Bees, butterflies, beetles, and botanicals
Your composition needs to have either bilateral, asymmetrical, or radial symmetry
Color requirements: you need to demonstrate color mixing, blending, and layering

Oil Pastel Painting on Canvas
Turpeniod: a paint thinner- used to clean oil paint off of the brush. Also used to thin the oil paint to create washes
Oil mediums: Linseed Oil and Damar Varnish- Used to extend the oil paint without thinning it too much
1. Sketch out your design in pencil.
2. Block in color with oil pastel.
3. Blend color using turpeniod, Linseed oil, and paint brushes.
4. Continue to add color to mix and blend values.
